It had been many years since I went on a Spring trip to the mountains because you just don’t know what kind of conditions you’re going to get. This winter the western mountains, especially Utah, had seasonably low snow totals making it more about the adventure and less about the snow. I like to take all sorts of clothing to help me with not getting cold. One of my favorite things is my alpaca scarf, its really amazing how much it prevents me to get cold, It is really warm and it is not itchy as some may think.
On this trip I visited my 49th mountain resort (Powder Mountain), along with Park City and The Canyons. I got together with old friends and met a handful of new ones. I also got to attend the closing party that Summit Group throws at their private mansion in Eden, Utah and to top it all off I was able to go mountain biking and hiking around Park City and sightseeing in Salt Lake City.
