Dominion Riverrock Scramble 10k

Caitlin, Richie and I after the James River Scramble 10k

The James River Scramble is not your normal 10k! Run over a unique course bringing together some of Richmond’s greatest riverfront attributes, including Brown’s Island, the Canal Walk, James River Park, Belle Isle and the Floodwall. This is not a race for walkers!

Last night at 1am after 1 Bourbon and Ginger and 3 beers I was asked to run the James River Scramble 10k at 9am. After a few seconds of consideration I figured why not. At least I’ll run off the calories I just put on from the booze. All the rain from the night before made the course super muddy with puddles everywhere. The Carytown 10k made the crowd much smaller which was more enjoyable because we didn’t have to wait for anyone on all the narrow areas of the course. I would definitely recommend this race for someone who is looking for a fun run that keeps you on your toes.
