Replacement Food List and The New Secret Detox Drink

The Replacement Food List

I recently came across the blog of Dr. Josh Axe and found this helpful document on which foods you should try and replace for healthier alternatives. I have saved it in the cloud for easy retrieval anytime I need it.

The New Secret Detox Drink

Another item I found that I want to try is this detox drink.

Ingredients:
1-2 tbsp Raw Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar
1-2 tbsp Organic Lemon Juice
1 pinch of Cayenne Pepper
1 pinch of Ginger Powder
1 pinch of Cinnamon
Drizzle of Honey
4-8 oz of Water

Instructions:
Drink once a day, twice if possible 15-30 minutes before breakfast and dinner for 30 days. Then once a day thereafter for overall maintenance.

I think as long as you feel like it. Everything in it is good for you.

You must have an outdated recipe because you don’t have to use coconut water. This is his original recipe from his site:
“Dr. Axe’s secret detox drink recipe not only tastes great, it will help you burn fat, lose weight, balance blood sugar levels, and get your body healthy!” Also, his new video also explains that you can add a dash of ground ginger as well. Also, for a full detox, he suggests you drink it 3x a day – 10-15 minutes before breakfast, lunch and dinner for 30 days and then switch over to once a day before any meal of your choice.

See recipe below. You could use coconut water if you want but not necessary and make sure to use filtered water!

1 glass of water (12-16 oz.)
    2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 dash cayenne pepper (optional)
    1 packet stevia

Therese, this is he second generation, but thank you for the reminder to change it here. I have been doing the new version for about a week now. The video on his site uses Ginger Powder and Honey in place of Stevia if you want as well as only 1Tbsp of ACV and LJ.

    So I’m doing the following:

    1 glass of water
    1 Tbsp. ACV
    1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
    1 dash of Cinnamon
    1 dash of Cayenne Pepper
    1 dash of Ginger Powder
    Drizzle of Local Honey

Can you make a large batch of this to use for the week? Or, do you have to make it fresh each time you drink it?

Will the cider vinegar kill the good bacteria in your body?
