Update October 7, 2013
Since this post Vail has acquired Kirkwood (California), Afton Alps (Minnesota) and Mt. Brighton (Michigan). They also signed a 50 year lease with The Canyons (Utah) and started a partnership with Eldora (Colorado) meaning in the U.S. alone you can visit 12 resorts. All of this for $529 which only takes five days to pay for itself. It goes up to $549 as the season approaches. I get this pass as I can work around the limited blackout dates, but if you want the Epic Pass which is totally unlimited and it’s only $689.
The Epic Pass offers everything from the Epic Local Pass plus they also partnered with Verbier, Switzerland; Arlberg, Austria (St. Anton, St. Cristoph, Stuben, Züers, and Lech); and now Les 3 Vallées, France (Courchevel, La Tania, Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, Les Menuires, Saint Martin de Belleville, Val Thorens et Orelle). That’s 13 European resorts making the grand total of resorts you can visit up to 25. That’s just crazy talk!
Check out what you get here.
If you make it out to Denver or these Colorado mountains here are some things I would recommend.
- We went to Steuben’s for dinner which happened to be on the Food Network show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Super cool place so if you are in Denver.
- Moe’s Original BBQ in Lionshead at Vail.
- Fresh cookies are served at the base at Beaver Creek at 3pm.
- Go to Garfinkel’s in Lionshead at Vail for sports and nachos.
